Terms of Service
Effective: April 17, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you,” “your”) and MyMeBo LLC (“MyMeBo,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the MyMeBo service at www.mymebo.com(the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate, current information when you sign up. Keep it accurate.
- One person or one organization per account. Don't share login credentials.
- If you're signing up on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
- Notify us at support@mymebo.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate anyone's rights.
- Upload content you don't have rights to, including content that infringes copyright, trademark, or privacy.
- Upload or process information classified as Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA, payment card data (PCI), or other regulated categories — MyMeBo is not certified for those uses.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where expressly permitted by law.
- Scrape, spider, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal API usage.
- Interfere with the Service, attempt to bypass security or rate limits, or probe for vulnerabilities without prior written consent.
- Resell, white-label, or sublicense the Service without a written reseller agreement.
- Transmit spam, malware, or illegal content through the Service.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
If you discover a security issue, please disclose it responsibly by emailing support@mymebo.com. We'll respond within 72 hours.
3. Subscription, billing, cancellation
3.1 Plans and fees
Paid plans, features, and prices are described on our pricing page. We may add, remove, or change plans over time. Price changes to your current plan will be announced with at least 30 days' notice and will not apply to your current billing period.
3.2 Billing cycle
- Plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle depending on your selection.
- Charges auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.
- You authorize us (via our payment processor) to charge your payment method for each cycle.
3.3 Cancellation
- You can cancel any time from the Settings page.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until then.
- We do not issue refunds or pro-rated credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or features you didn't use. Know what you're paying for before you subscribe.
- Exceptions: (a) if we materially degrade the Service and fail to fix it within 30 days of your written complaint; (b) where refunds are required by law.
3.4 What happens to your data after cancellation
- 90-day grace period — your data is preserved in read-only state for 90 days after cancellation. You can reactivate during this time without losing anything.
- After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted from our active systems. Encrypted backups may persist up to 30 additional days before rotation.
- Request earlier deletion by emailing support@mymebo.com.
- Export your data at any time before cancellation takes effect (see Privacy Policy Section 8).
3.5 Failed payments
If a payment fails, we'll retry and notify you. If payment isn't resolved within 14 days of the failed charge, your account may be suspended until the balance is paid. Data is preserved during suspension subject to the 90-day grace rule once the account is ultimately cancelled.
3.6 Taxes
Fees don't include taxes. You are responsible for any applicable sales, use, VAT, or similar taxes, except for taxes on our income.
4. Your content
- You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or sync into MyMeBo (“Your Content”).
- You grant MyMeBo a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — including sending selected content to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing.
- This license ends when you delete content or close your account, subject to the retention terms above.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to upload anything you upload.
- You will not upload PHI, PCI, or other regulated data that MyMeBo is not certified to handle.
5. Our intellectual property
MyMeBo's code, design, logos, name, and the “Mebo” AI assistant branding are owned by MyMeBo LLC. These Terms do not grant you any license to our IP beyond the right to use the Service as a paying or free-tier user.
We may display aggregated, anonymized usage metrics (“X% of users use Feature Y”) for marketing and product improvement. We will never identify you without consent.
If you provide feedback, feature requests, or bug reports, we may use them to improve the Service without obligation or compensation to you.
6. Third-party integrations
MyMeBo integrates with third-party services (Google Gmail / Calendar, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, and others). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their actions or downtime. Revoking their access may limit Service functionality.
MyMeBo uses Anthropic's Claude models for AI processing. By using AI features, you consent to the processing described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Service availability and changes
- We strive for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated when possible.
- We may add, modify, or remove features over time. Material removals will be announced with at least 30 days' notice.
- We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or cost us significantly more to serve than our pricing reflects (e.g., abuse of AI features). We'll warn you first when feasible.
8. Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You materially breach these Terms and don't cure within 14 days of written notice.
- Your account poses an ongoing security risk.
- Required by law or court order.
- We discontinue the Service (we'll give at least 90 days' notice and a data export option).
If we terminate you for cause, no refunds are owed. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will pro-rate a refund for the unused portion of your current billing period.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
MyMeBo helps you manage grants, projects, and compliance-related work, but we do NOT provide legal, financial, grant compliance, or accounting advice. The AI assistant “Mebo” generates suggestions and summaries based on your content — always review AI output before acting on it. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of anything the AI generates, including compliance checks, financial summaries, and extracted tasks.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyMeBo's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.
MyMeBo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, even if advised of the possibility.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyMeBo, its members, officers, employees, and agents from any claim arising from (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your violation of a third party's rights.
12. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
- Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Providence County, Rhode Island, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
- You and MyMeBo both waive any right to a jury trial.
- Any claim must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to the claim, or it is permanently barred.
13. Changes to these Terms
We'll post changes here with a new Effective date. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement — these Terms, plus the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and MyMeBo.
- Severability — if any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver — our failure to enforce any provision isn't a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment — you can't assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign ours (e.g., in connection with a sale of the business).
- No employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture is created by your use of the Service.
